Out of Love, out of Necessity.
’Out of Love, Out of Necessity’ is about vulnerability, about transience, learning how to let go and coping with the end of life. Death, and dying, is a very difficult subject in our society. It is a part of life we would rather not look at.
My mother died after a long illness, in her own home, at her own pace. Her physical strength decreased, but her mental strength remained. That essence, her infectious spirit helped her through this last stage of her life.
With this documentary my purpose is to illustrate that dying is not a negative phenomenon we should hide from, it is part of our lives and we should think about it more often. Dying is not a policy that you can direct or determine from behind a computer. There must remain a freedom and control for everyone to die as he or she wishes.
